July Goals Collab!

Angela and Jazmine, of The Clutter Box and Fairy Lights & Dreams, respectively, came up with the brilliance of a Monthly Goal Collaboration, and I’m thrilled to be joining them and the other bloggers who’ve come along for the ride!
I share a lot of my hopes & dreams here on TO&E (hence, you know, the title of the blog), so this is a perfect opportunity to narrow things down a bit and say “hey, this is what I want out of the next thirty-or-so days.”
First and foremost, let’s look back at June.  I’m a historian, I’m a firm believer in understanding the past to benefit the present—why not apply that to goals?
Some high points:
  • My internship has been going brilliantly!  I’ve learned a crazy amount and met some amazing people—and it’s only about halfway through.
  • I befriended a squirrel.
  • I joined Blogging College thanks to Twitter (and am making so many amazing connections as a result!).
  • I’ve expanded the social media for TO&E—aka, I’m actually using it.  😀

Needs improvement:

  • My workouts have been virtually nonexistent, between sickness and busyness and—I’ll admit it—laziness.
  • I’m not posting quite as regularly as I’d like to here, let alone scheduling in advance like I keep telling myself I will.

So, looking forward to June:  some goals!

The past week has contained more reading for pleasure than I’ve done in months.  I want to keep up the pace!

Further expand TO&E

Whether that’s guest posts and lovely collaborations like this, or being more diligent with social media posts, I’m determined.  Number one?  Work on the newsletter!

Work on my coaching business

Since my workouts have been lacking, my business has too.  Baby steps in the right direction fit the bill!

Leave the apartment more

A friend recently asked me what I do for fun these days and I realized just how much of that “fun” involves sitting in my apartment—reading, watching movies, listening to music, talking to squirrels.  As much as I like the place, I have to remind myself that there’s actually a world beyond the Ridge.

Write more

I’m participating in Write Like You’re Alive and Camp NaNoWriMo this month, so I’m hoping this is inevitable!

So…here’s hoping the gals of this collab can keep my motivation high! Feel free to let me know if you have any tips!

I should make leaving my house a goal as well. Well, I DO leave usually just for work and Pokemon Go. Lol.

Okay… how did you befriend a squirrel? I have to know this?! Like does he come up and say hi to you and stuff? MY dog would go nuts.

Fantastic start to your goals – Social media is a tricky thing… I’ve been struggling to apply to all the medias. Might just fixate on one for right now. Good luck with all your other goals!!

I am so bad at just staying in my apartment too! I need to get out more – I’ve been making a mental list of things to do in the area I moved to this month so hopefully I’ll start doing more things.

Congrats on expanding your social media platforms. I’m the one who loves to stay in my house as well. Recently me and my family have been visiting national parks and places around the area. There’s so much to do and so many pretty sites that I didn’t know we have. It’s great to explore and have a few staycations. I hope you enjoy your writing class! It sounds fun. Good luck with all your goals this month.
